Faculty of Administration, University of Ljubljana (FA, UL) is looking to join a consortium for HE calls/destinations: HORIZON-CL2-2023-DEMOCRACY &
HORIZON-CL2-2023-TRANSFORMATIONS.

Univerza v Ljubljani (the University of Ljubljana - UL) is the largest and highest quality Slovenian scientific and research organization – always recognized by the international scientific community (around 3800 researchers are working at the UL, contributing to almost 50% of all internationally acclaimed scientific publications from the Republic of Slovenia). In recent years, the UL has ranked among the top 600 research universities in the world according to Shanghai ARWU. The UL is very active in international research and educational programmes and projects, especially in the EU Framework Programmes (number of projects: 20 FP6, 161 FP7, 193 H2020, already several HE), where in terms of the number of research projects it ranks among the top of universities and research organizations from the new EU Member States (EU 13), e. g. including 6 ERC projects and 33 coordinating projects. By participating in development projects financed with EU Structural Funds, the UL contributes significantly to the infrastructure development, structural change and economic development of Slovenia and broader. The University offers its own as well as guest researchers an excellent research environment and modern research equipment for the development of breakthrough achievements and innovations. Openness to foreign researchers and the international flow of researchers is supported by the EURAXESS contact point and the UL’s inclusion in the EURAXESS network of Slovenia. In 2008, the University committed itself to respect the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. In 2012, it further adopted The UL Strategy for Researchers’ Career Development, on the basis of which the European Commission granted it the right to use the logo “Excellence in research”. The UL is also a member of numerous international networks, e. g.: UNICA, CELSA, CROWDHELIX, LRU CE7, SBRA, Utrecht Network.

The Faculty of Public Administration (UL FPA; department) is a leading educational and research institution in the field of public administration in Slovenia, providing the full range of 1st and 2nd degree of Bologna study programmes with EAPAA accreditation (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation) as well as a joint PhD programme, supplementary professional training of civil servants, and international cooperation with similar education and research institutions. The ULFPA has a strong Research Centre with 42 researchers to cover areas of Public Sector Economics & Finance, Business and Management Studies in the Public Sector (Business Process Reengineering), Administrative Process, Public Policy and Administrative Law, Informatization of Public Sector and eGovernment, HRM in Public Administration. The UL FPA is also a member of the most active international organisations in the field of public administration, such as EAPAA (European Association for Public Administration Accreditation), EGPA (European Group for Public Administration), EMPA (European Master of Public Administration Consortium), IIAS (International Institute of Administrative Sciences), NISPAcee (Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe), TEIN (Transfrontier Euro-Institut Network). During the last five years, the Research Centre has participated in 12 EU & international research projects (e. g. H2020, Interreg Alpine Space, Erasmus+, Jean Monnet, Europe for Citizens) and 65 national & structural funds research projects (e. g. Slovenian Research Agency, ESF, ERDF).
