Open Innovation Opportunity

Project Proposal

The Center of Aviation and Space Research group can offer to a potential consortium expertise in ground testing of turboprop engines, design and set up of model simulations and experimental data analyses, and cutting-edge research facilities including:

Dynamometric test cell for turboprop engine, a state-of-the-art testing laboratory of aircraft engines with a power output of up to 2000 kW allowing to monitor and capture not only the vibration characteristics of each part of the aviation engine but also the characteristics of all engine operating parameters (temperature and pressure fields, power, consumption, noise, etc.) site for turboprop engine research and testing at a stationary site.

Experimental core test cell for turboprop engine laboratory, an outstanding facility to research and investigate the processes taking place in the combustion chamber of a turboprop engine and their influence on the dynamic characteristics of engines. The laboratory state-of-the-art HW and SW equipment allows to observe and analyse the vibration characteristics of individual parts of the reduced motor (without the propeller and the speed reducer).

PROP1 and PROP2 mobile propeller test stand laboratories for turboprop engine, equiped with a sophisticated propeller system and a stationary site reducer, the HW and SW equipment of the test rooms enables monitoring and sensing of the vibration characteristics of individual parts of the complete engine (including the drive propeller).

The Center of Aviation and Space Research was established in 2016, focuses on on problem-oriented interdisciplinary research in aerospace and aeronautic, consolidating activities, strong track record and advanced infrastructure in the forefront scientific area of aerospace and aeronautic research undertaken at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FME) at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Personnel involved in the Center’s activities are well recognized experts in the field of mechanics, mechatronics, aerospace research and simulation.
